Families, Friends, Neighbors, Village Officials, Fire and Police Departments, Churches, Organizations, and Businesses All Showed Up BIG to Be Part of the Story, Creating an Eight-Panel Design with Images Conceived by the Community

More Than 30 Design Workshop Participants ~ 500 Tile-Laying Workshop Timeslots Filled

With Green Star Movement as our guide, the CommUNITY Diversity Group Arts Committee held two mosaic-design workshops with more than 30 participants. That effort yielded an eight-panel design with images conceived by the community.

The Community Center: Past-Present-Future
is the theme that thoughtfully tells the story of this culturally rich and historic East Side of La Grange:
A proud, self-sufficient, and vital contributor to the distinctiveness of this extraordinary community, despite its long history of disinvestment, discrimination, and segregation.
