Sunday, September 11, 2016: CDG’s 25th Anniversary Race Unity Day Rally was held at the La Grange Village Hall.

The theme of CDG’s 2016 Diversity Days was “Today and The Next 25 Years”

Friday, Sept 9, 2016 at La Grange Public Library: We kicked off Diversity Days this year at La Grange Public Library with a free screening (and discussion afterward) of “Fruitvale Station”. Winner of two major Sundance Film Festival awards, critics called it “powerfully acted” and “a celebration of life and a condemnation of death.”

The film tells the story of 22-year-old Oakland resident Oscar Grant III, who was fatally shot by police. Here is a preview of “Fruitvale Station”:
